dog show.
my grandmother is having hip surgery at the end of the month, and her dog emma is coming to live here. emma and i aren't the best friends (she is barky towards tall people, although quickly subdued with rubs) but i am hoping that many walks and visits with neighborhood cows will leave us on good terms. i feel bad for professor pizzapie, since he's like the best animal i have ever known (cat or otherwise), but he will have to deal with it for a little while. ultimate sad emoticon.
also, 40 pages away from being done with the savage detectives.
finally tonight, i hope someone besides me saw big baby davis sink an 18-foot jump shot at the buzzer to win vs. the magic <--- link there. it was like the coolest thing a 2nd/3rd string role player could've done. what a bad motherfucker.

and i hope you lazy fucks follow my example because its just a mind-draining exercise in how shitty and stupid and short human communications can be. we should expect more from being the most intelligent animals that live on this planet.
anyway, things have been good. i've been working for the last few weeks, getting overtime and making some money. i fucked up at the end of my last semester of school and forgot to get a loan (w/e), so i'm paying that back with cash every week until its paid off, and then i have my diploma. that will be pretty cool, but until then i'm kinda broke. it's been very rainy this week, which is flattening business out during the day and not really helping things at night either.
i finally bought a pair of new shoes that ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) loveontisbury thinks are pretty cool. they're onitsuka tigers and are white and gray and a nice pale blue. i like them too. i finished reading 2666 several weeks ago and i'm working on bolano's semi-autobiographical book the savage detectives now, and its almost as riveting. i would like to say, "give me examples of what to read next," but i've never really liked anybody's suggestions. i'll let you know what i do, though.
